Cosmetology Program
Art’s Barber Academy provides the foundational knowledge and skills needed for entry into the Cosmetology profession and prepares students to pass the Washington State licensing exam.
Our Cosmetology Program is based on Milady curriculum and covers 1,400 hours of hair and chemical instruction, 100 hours of manicuring and 100 hours of esthetics. Completing this program takes approximately 11 months at full-time status and approximately 17 months at part-time status.

Costs
Application Fee................ $100.00
Must be paid to the school when the application for enrollment is submitted. Enrollment will not be accepted by the school until the application fee has been paid in full. This application fee is non-refundable and good for enrollment for one year.

Financing
30% down payment of the total tuition cost is needed to qualify for in-home financing.
Payment
Acceptable forms of payment for tuition and other fees are: Cash, Check (Personal or Business), Cashier’s Check, Money Order, or a Credit or Debit card. VISA, MC or American Express. No third-party checks will be accepted.
Enrollment Requirements
Completed and submitted enrollment application, including $100 nonrefundable application fee
16 years of age or older
Valid Washington or federal issued ID
30% down payment of the total tuition cost to facilitate financing (if in-house financing is needed)
Note: No H.S. Diploma or GED required.
The State of Washington does not require either to obtain a cosmetology license.
Your Instructor
Arts Mendoza is a passionate teacher with 8 years of barbering and cosmetology experience and 3 years of instructional experience. His goal is to train students beyond the basics to include communication and customer care.
