Barber Program
Art’s Barber Academy provides the foundational knowledge and skills needed for entry into the Barber profession and prepares students to pass the Washington State licensing exam.
Our Barber Program is based on the Milady curriculum and provides 1,000 hours of comprehensive training in hair theory, practical skills, and hands-on hair services.
Traditional Schedule
Full-Time: Approximately 6 months
Part-Time: Approximately 8 months
Hybrid Schedule (New Option!)
Students now have the opportunity to complete their training in a hybrid format:500 hours online (theory and virtual lessons)
500 hours in-person (hands-on training)
Graduate in as little as 5 months

Application Fee................ $100.00
Must be paid to the school when the application for enrollment is submitted. Enrollment will not be accepted by the school until the application fee has been paid in full. This application fee is non-refundable and good for enrollment for one year.

Financing
10%($965)down payment of the total tuition cost is needed to qualify for in-home financing.
Payment
Acceptable forms of payment for tuition and other fees are: Cash, Check (Personal or Business), Cashier’s Check, Money Order, or a Credit or Debit card. VISA, MC or American Express. No third-party checks will be accepted.
Enrollment Requirements
Completed and submitted enrollment application, including $100 nonrefundable application fee
16 years of age or older
Valid Washington or federal issued ID
15% down payment of the total tuition cost to facilitate financing (if in-house financing is needed)
Note: No H.S. Diploma or GED required.
The State of Washington does not require either to obtain a barber license.
Your Instructor
Arturo is a barber, stylist, and educator with more than 8 years of experience in the industry. After graduating from Hairtech Beauty Academy in 2011, he immediately pursued advanced education to sharpen his craft and deepen his understanding of how to effectively pass that knowledge on to the next generation of barbers and stylists. In 2019, he opened Art's Barber House, where he spent years perfecting his skills and building a loyal clientele. In 2023, Arturo took his next big step by founding Art's Barber Academy, dedicating himself fully to education. In just over 3 years, more than 55 students have graduated from the program, going on to build successful careers in the industry.
